Background Information
Knockbreda Primary School is a controlled co-educational primary school (for children aged 4-11 years) within the South Eastern Education and Library Board.
Present enrolment is 156 pupils. Children are educated in seven mainstream classes with two M.L.D. Learning Centres.
Our School is situated on a secluded, leafy site within the same campus as Knockbreda Nursery and Knockbreda High School. The school opened in 1958 and has now been serving the local and wider community for over fifty years.
The building and surrounding grounds are maintained to a high standard and provide a pleasant working environment for pupils and staff alike. Our bright accomodation includes nine classrooms, a fully equipped after-school room and a spacious P.E. hall/dining hall with excellent stage facilities. We are very fortunate to have a wildlife garden on the premises which is maintained by the school staff with the help of our pupils. The school has disabled access via the large playground area.
