Background
Knockbreda Primary School is a controlled co-educational school in south-east Belfast. It was founded in 1958 and will soon be celebrating its Golden Jubilee. The school is situated on the same site as Knockbreda High School and Knockbreda Nursery School. We currently have 156 pupils enrolled in six mainstream classes and two Learning Centres which cater for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties. We are an ECO school and are one of a small number of schools in the UK to have been granted permanent ECO status. For more details click the ECO school logo.
Children are well cared for in Knockbreda; every child is challenged to give of his/her best in all aspects of school life. Academic standards are high and the majority of mainstream pupils transfer to local grammar schools.
