A busy start to P3!
P3 have had an exciting beginning welcoming lots of new pupils to Knockbreda Primary. We said Hello and Welcome to Liv, Rose, Sophie and Natasha.
During September and October we were thinking about School as our class topic. We wanted to know about people who help us in school, whether school has always been like it is today, and about other schools. We wrote to our Grandparents to find out about life at school when they were little. On a lovely Autumn morning we walked to the postbox to post our letters. Then we waited! We had fabulous replies from our grandparents and we now know how much school life has changed since they were little. We think we a much better off without the ‘cane’!
We also have made contact with some pupils in Central Elementary School in North Carolina to find out about life in their classrooms. We asked lots of questions about their school and sent these by e-mail. We found out lots of things which are different about their school, for example, the boys and girls don’t wear school uniform, also the time there is five hours behind us. That means when we are finishing school each day the children at Central Elementary are just starting!
