Brrr - It's cold out there!
January saw the start of a new term and a new Topic for P3. We have been thinking about Weather! Very appropriate during the coldest spell of weather Northern Ireland has experienced for many years. We have been thinking about snow, rain, wind and sun and how it affects everybody each day.
As part of our art work we have made Penguins using our feet. Also we have thought about hot and cold colours. Better still we have become scientists. P3 have observed how ice melts in different places and how if it is wrapped up in aluminium foil it doesn’t cook but instead stays frozen for longer! We have been weather forecasters and kept a record of the rain and wind we have seen each day. As part of our studies we have tried to clean dirty water by filtering it and have experimented with materials to see which would make a good umbrella!
