Celebrations and a Christmas Outing for P3.

As part of our Celebrations Topic for this term P3 went to Hillmount Garden Centre where we thought we might find out a little about Christmas and how it is celebrated.

We took a bus from school and arrived at the main entrance to the Garden Centre.
	At the door of the Garden Centre we were greeted by some dancing penguins and some cheerful Christmas Music being played by - A Mouse!
Next it was time to see Santa’s Grotto (it was too early for Santa to be up and about so we went to visit his friends). We were given a quiz sheet to complete as we went around and looked at the beautiful displays of lights and animals.


At the end of the Grotto we had a really pleasant surprise when we were allowed to meet with Santa’s Donkeys. They were so cute. One of them was 15 years old and the littlest was just 4 months. The oldest one was quite naughty and was eating the fence!

As a real treat we went to the café and enjoyed some juice and a biscuit. How very grown-up!
