Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!!

 

 

This week P2 learnt how to be environmentally friendly. Our helper from Castlereagh Borough Council came to school to tell us how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle our rubbish. We learnt about the different items that should go into our black, blue and brown bins at home.

 

We were told about all the different things that can be made by recycling plastic.

 

Do you know recycled plastic can be used to make new items such as school bags, coats and even duvet covers?

 

Then we planted cress seeds using compost which had been made from rubbish put into our brown bins.
